The castle and lands of Wedderburn have belonged to the Home family since 1413. The present house was built in 1771 and incorporates the walls of the original castle. Today the castle is an exclusive use venue available for fully serviced weddings and events.
The castle has the ambience of a private Georgian family house with all original features still in place, maintained to the highest standard and with all of the modern comforts expected today.
Wedderburn offers guests the greatest possible level of privacy and freedom of choice. This is a country house that becomes your own. Whilst retaining much of the convenience of a hotel, there is no reception desk and visitors continually comment upon the relaxed and informal atmosphere that they enjoy so much.
